I Am certain MANY Cargo /frieght ships ply this route,Some of them do allow passengers,I would get a list of agents ( See Bangkok Post ) and just make some enquiries.....Hope this helps...
Trans-pacific freight/passenger cruises are probably your best bet, and run somewhere in the region of $150-250 per day. Considering this would likely be a month or so, that can add up. I remenber once seing Michael Palin English Actor) crossing the atlantic ocean (I think it was), on a Maersk Line container ship. Since Maersk Line is the biggest Container ship company in the world, I think it would be possible to go with them.
