I'm located in a village about 1.5 hrs from Udon, I have Telkomvision on satellite which is the Indonesian version of UBC , 42 channels inc HBO,Cinemax, star sports, ESPN, BBC, Australian network etc, I have a C band dish and decoder. cost for 1 year sub is about 24,000 baht (got the dish sent to me about 4 years ago from bangkok, but now there are local guys that can do it)
There are other ways to get overseas sat tv but you need the internet and not sure if can talk on the forum about card sharing .
I spend 3 mths in Thai and 3 mths in Aus and take the card and box with me and watch in both countries
If you want more info you can pm me

old-timer wrote:Udon Cable - now let's be fair, it costs 900baht a quarter. for that you get a fair bit - i quite like watching the Korean series about a 20 year old who goes out nightime in his truck to collect discarded cardboard to go and sell at the recycling plant - he's quite a character and so are his family, I've learnt quite a bit of korean since getting hooked on this series. Also fox news - fox and friends, Hannity, O'rielly factor, all thoroughly enjoyable for me. On top of that you get an English speaking film channel and the channel that shows US police stuff presented by the the ex-captain of Starship enterprise. Also don't forget that on about 6 or 7 am is either the naked chef series with jamie oliver, the american series of hells kitchen with Gordon Ramsey who makes full grown men cry, plus River Cottage with Hugh fearnley-whittingstall who cooked and ate his freshly castrated bulls balls. If you add all this falang entertainment up together with the 3 or 4 cartoon channels for the kids, the "love in the market" type soaps that your mrs is glued to at certain parts of the day - well it's not too bad for the money.
PS - premiership football is also there but the commentary is crap...O.T's top tip - turn the sound off .. \:D/

I started watching the same Soap opera from Korea too .I nicknamed it Koreanation Street.lol,(maybe only the british reading this will get that)
