Been going to Watanna once a month since April with wife to the maternity ward and have no complaints. Have never seen it crowded and the doctors speak english. You hear more people talk about AEK or Palo but I have never been to either to compare them. I don't think there is too much problem with any of the 3 private hospitals and have heard both good and bad opinions on all three. I did not realize the Military hospital was open to the public/farangs, but it sounds like people like it as well. If you have been to any of the government run hospitals in Issan, you will see the difference quickly.
