I don't have the answer but I am sure most of you do since you frequent these bars
and you continually get ripped off. I some times go to D/N and have a soda I pay 20 bot drink 3 comes to 60 bot give them a 100 bot and go home and I had fun with both ladies and the lady boys I am not
prejudice and I do enjoy myself and if your curious I do not bar fine any of them I sleep with
my wife only

Paid a visit there last week and just wanted to play pool... Got the you buy drink for me sh1t and kept replying Mai mii ngun (No have money)... She kept it up and every time I'd play a shot and go for a drink she kept asking me if I'd go short time. This was one ugly bird and if she had a Gemma Hussey* under both armpits I wouldn't have bar fined her. LADY drink? Is that a paradox?

*Gemma Hussey (Dublin, IRL) former politician and rhyming slang meaning female genitalia.

As one earlier poster said 'What the hell is happening?'. Well i did monitor the posts while away, so not a complete shock (i.e. Soi farang, day and Night, nutty park) but also lots of other assorted places gone. As for Barcode, it is now nameless and pretty well stripped out - took 2 steps towards it and was pounced upon by 3 very desperate girls, so beat a quick retreat. I can only find one place i drank and ate at last time. Looks like I will have to start from scratch again.

Please let me assure you that when I said she is a snake in the grass, that would be my opinion and my opinion only. ;)

Since we all have different opinions and since this is an open posting board for Udonmap members (as long as one follows the rules) I will leave it there. I will not share on this board what happened to 3 of us while we were talking with a couple of the girls.

And I must say they have a couple of lookers there also. \:D/

=D>

You must have been there when they had lookers, when I was there ,one katoey smoking on a fag and eating pork scratchings, how quaint, one bargirl looked like had leprosy, one with lovely crooked teeth and the mamasam the best of this fine bunch.Luckily only got stung for one malibu and orange Ron so have learnt my lesson. If had chosen to have bought 4 then would have lost the opportunity for a short time.

The only other news heard was happy my bar wants to sell for about 700,000 baht but seems the prices quoted by these bars are farang prices, selling to a thai the price is probably quoted 25% less.

Just hope some naive farang are coming up to udon in the high season looking to buy a bar.

Can advise you all, Dowl the owner with Dominique of the grasshopper bar has taken Richmond Steak House over for a six month period, she does intend to run both bars, Grasshopper One in Soi nutty park and grasshopper two ( steak house reincarnated).

She does intend to serve mmeals including steaks to a high standard, just needs some time to revamp the kitchen which I have looked at. too put it midly it is a shambles.

Oh well now we all know. A nice lady wanting to imporve our lot, may she be successful with many of us being patrons there as well.

Now I'm back from Udon. Wasn't too impressed by the Day & Night hangar, all the bars seemed quiet and a little desperate. Had a good time in Orange Moon and Dragon Bar, the latter quiet but entertaining (well, the owner was certainly good value) and both had pleasant girls who were very friendly and not overly business minded :censored:

The Irish Clock was great. Comfortable room and bed, delicious food and excellent service. Steve & Mali are good hosts - and at least the fire alarm works! A special word of thanks to the service girls who seem to work around the clock (pun intended) and yet are always smiling. Em is a little diamond and I do hope she's still there when I come back next time.
