There's a tv repair shop near Mayaa Restaurant that has several secondhand video players. They wanted 3,500 for each but would probably rent them out for less.

Cheers Lee

Thats 1 option , have a good laugh for 4 hours or so, then return the player

I know it can be done in Pantip for sure.

This shop I mentioned can also covert the VHS tapes for you too if you don't have the cables or software to do it yourself.

Also Central Digital over the road from Mojo's coverts VHS to DVD but I'm not sure how much they charge. Maybe worth asking at both places.

Here's some software that will allow you to burn VHS to DVD & other formats, I haven't tried it but have downloaded other software from NCH Software. VCR is required...

Wazza would it be feasible to get them on Mininova or the like? That's what I'm doing at the moment. Trying to think of the best stuff I have on videos back home. Only 1 bogey so far... Harry's Game... they all speak like the aliens in the old Smash adverts.

Other than that all have been first class... Some really thought provoking stuff... Like, "Nympho night Nurse."

Revenge is sweet IA.

WTF is Mininova, some sort of small Lunar love flick ??

I am CI ( computer illiterate )

and dont have a VCD player, but have a nice notebook and a computer that sits on my desk.

Give me an ECG or a dying trauma patient, no problems there !

wassa

A "BitTorent" source to download movies, songs etc.

IA is suggesting that the contents of your videos might be downloadable from the internet, directly to your pc.

I like uTorrent... Go to Mininova.com (not supernova that was an Oasis song) and search for e.g,"Skippy II - Mark's Revenge." Download the torrent and you are on your way. DVD players are quite reasonable... Robinson's are selling a few bogey brands cheap. I erred on the side of caution and bought a Philips one back in February last. Forget how much it was... I'm burning DVD's like there is no tomorrow, they are falling out of the wardrobe at this stage.

Also I joined TheBiz.net that is exclusively for British TV programs. Just got "Ashes To Ashes," (BBC) the follow up the the excellent "Life on Mars."

I have a product made by Samsung (VR357) that is both a VCR and DVD player/recorder. With the touch of one button I can copy a VHS tape to DVD. It works great! I do not know if something like this is available yet in Thailand but perhaps you could order it if you were so inclined. It was not very expensive.
