Virus!!!!

PostAuthor: PopsIcafe » September 19, 2005, 7:51 pm

Just so you all know, I check all 3.5" floppies that customers want to use in my computers.. :D ...lately I have been finding a virus that dates back to 1998.. :yikes: ...it is a boot drive virus and so far have found 3 different versions. :-k If you use internet at another cafe and download to a 3.5" floppy, please run a virus check with your virus program on the 3.5" floppy before using it in your computer. It could have a boot virus which means you will have too wipe, reformat, reload windows.... ](*,) #-o ....a long process. I have a feeling that one of my competitors got it, they have been having booting problems with some of thier computers and on top of that, internet up and down roller coaster ride. (TOT at it's best) =D>

The virus will cause damage to your boot drives.

I always had my doubts about you Cliff - and now you have come out of the closet voluntarily. I still respect you as a person though :)

if it's a floppie, doesn't sound like it's getting much use. especially if it has a virus, a little extra pc-cillen might help. :D

When I bought my latest pc (Dell desktop) a year ago I was given the option of a floppy drive being included at no cost but turned it down. #-o
Forgot that I still had some floppy disks from previous pc's. Turns out, so far, to be no great loss for my limited usage anyway.
