Ah you are putting a farang slant on a Thai problem does not work, kicking a motorbike is better than shooting at it, which I have seen.
Most bikes are going slow so the possiblke injury is slight but if they have no helmets then they are the foolish ones ( the riders).
I do not condone but just maybe jai dee is no longer working and about time too, I am fed up with being cut up, moving over and having to be careful cos the Stupid, uncaring, selfish, unqualified and unlicensed motorbike rider thinking that they can do what they want and if they have an accident it is ALWAYS someone else's fault.

it is a stupid thing to do...maybe a spur of the moment reaction, but thats what it took to stop them, if me working the stops ..i would have a few men dotted around at each end of the Soi/Road no escape, a few might slip through the net, the riders in question could of easly hit their head on the road/car/post (No Helmut) and had internal bleeding (wazza..)..and could of been in trouble a few hours down the road health wise..if me on the bike don't think i would run for it being so close to the police...up ahead...yeah you got plenty time to do a Ut, also it don't matter wether the rider has a shinning helmut or not...most still cut you up and drive bad and are selfish road users...tit....and will never change ever..!!! you just got to adapt, the girl in this case will do the same and same again, there is no teaching some.

Another example, Pops video(from outside his shop) he posted ..a bike doing a turn from cops...crashed it.. #-o everyday occurrence i suspect.

Hi,
"Is it to difficult to have another officer 100m down the road," When the rider goes passed him have a third and a forth etc. etc. until the rider runs out of fuel. How far are you willing to go before you run out of police. If people break the law they should pay. This is not the UK where the guilty gets support and the innocent get nothing. Also the lights do not suddenly go to Red, there is the Amber colour in between. But it etill means nothing to many Thias. Been waiting at lights they have turned green for at least five seconds and there are still drivers going the other way on red. I say book the lot for going through a red light but fined them 10,000B min. first offence.
Cheers Doug.

Agree with the Red light....i would put more effort into light jumpers than the Helmut situation....and i bet more money would come in too....and as a bonus bag a few helmut less riders in the process....but up to them.
Wonder how those cameras are performing in certain parts of bangers.

Hmm...so if you break to law by riding without a helmet (BM - note spelling :D ), you should pay by potentially having a bad prang because a copper pushes you off your bike, with no thought (or perhaps no interest) as to the consequences.

Somewhat disproportionate I would imagine.

Anyone who thinks that a small fall off a motor cycle with no helmet on, is nothing THEN think again.

Your Skull is an egg shell, and a simple fall from height will crack it, causing a # , causing internal and external bleeding, causing raised intercranial pressure and death. Even the bleeding assoc froma broken nose and skull fracture can cause an obstructed airway and death.

Extra Dural Haemorrhage is the classic, dead in 4 hour

How many people do we read around the world who die in a simple Pub fight, hit, fell and cracked their head on the footpath, edge of table, or just the pub floor.

Police were out & about on the road between Night Market & AEK.
About 11 last night, road completely blocked - flashing red lights, the lot.
Only seemed interested in drink driving offences, no document or vehicle checking.
Breathalysed TG (no problems there :D ) and off on our way.
Very quick, efficient & pleasant.

I was breathalysed on the road between the night market and Robinson's during songkraan around 10pm. It's the first time I've ever been stopped during the evening, I was under the impression the police finished work at 6pm. :D
Anyway I'd only had a small bottle of beer so everything was OK and was waived on.
Does anyone know what the penalty is for drink driving? Is it the same as speeding i.e. 300bt fine or is it more severe? I believe in the UK now it's an instant ban for 3 years no questions asked.

I've been stopped there before although not breathalyzed. I tend to use the dirt track next to the railway line to get back onto Phosi Rd.

Yes, it is a pretty regular stopping point for cars (1 of the few I can actually think of in Udon) but always a quick "Lights & Paperwork" check before. Don't know why they bothered to breath test the TG (she rarely drinks, thank God) unless I was making the car smell like a distillery :D :D and their lack of interest in paperwork & vehicle led me to believe they were just there to do breath testing.
