As soon as you get this message, log off, disconnect, power off and place you computer/laptop in a bucket of Clorox. Then go to an internet cafe and send a message of apology to everyone you have ever emailed or chatted online with.
I can only speak from my own experiences about Limewire
BUT:
1) I used it in the UK for 2/3 years and
DID have a problem (On
ONE occasion) with an "iffy" (soft pornographic) download which insisted on opening continual "pop ups" (
NOT a virus) linked to hard porn sites.
I rectified that by utilising Windows Restore and peace and harmony was then resumed.
2) In Thailand, as I only have a "dial up" connection (Solomon, Nokia or Samsung) and would never attempt to download films, as it would take forever, I have
ONLY utilised Limewire for music downloads.
These go into a "Limewire" folder, which I virus check prior to including in my "normal" computer files.
In defence of "Limewire" I must say that I have
NEVER had a problem, pre or post my virus scan.
Other people may have had different experiences but I can only speak as I find.
