The main branch of the Immigration department in Soi Suanplu seemed to be in a state of flux this past week with readers experiencing extreme delays waiting for their visa extensions to be processed. One long-term reader spent more than 12 hours (6 hours one day and another 6 the next) waiting for his visa extension based on marriage to be processed.

wonder why ???

Expect it may have something to do with the new directive, effective today, that all applications must be made in the area that you live. In the past many were using SuanPlu and causing overload there (has taken many hours for several years). As of today you must use your local office - expect that was being explained last week to those processing.
