Your right Loong, as a Nation they truly are a useless, smelly bunch of surrender monkeys but when it comes to Hedonistic activities, eating, drinking, women etc, no one does it as well as the French.
When it comes to food you have to hand it to the Froggies, they can make a eating lunch an all afternoon activity and they can make a simple sandwich a gastronomic delight.

20 kinds of bread
Meatball subs
Corned beef
Pastrami
Reubens
Potato pancakes
Coleslaw
Giant dill pickles
Onion and Poppyseed bagles
Lemon Italian Ice
Fat, chewy oatmeal raisin cookies
Cheesecake

Only solution is to move to NY or Phuket, last time I was in Phuket they had the best Deli I have seen in Thailand, OR make your own.
Apart from the Italian Ice cream and 20 kinds of bread,(I make 5 kinds only).
I make at home most of the items on yr list, although the Pastrami I get from a friend in Petchabun who makes it decently.
My favorite, Cheese, meatballs in sauce on toasted baguette

My kids favorite, Home made Pizza.
