Where do you live?

PostAuthor: Marmite The Dog » May 4, 2009, 10:47 am

Now, I know this has probably been done before, but not in the last few months, so I thought I'd make you suffer it again.

I was just wondering about where we all live. I used to live in Bangkok, but have now discovered the joys of sitting on my butt behind this computer all day in Udon.

I see many people are regular visitors to Thailand and some it seems who have never been here (judging from their posts).

* Note - for the dimwitted 'Farangland' is colloquialism for the West.

You would have to put "Don't remember" as one of the options on that one Morti.

Does the "Udon" choice indicate Jangwat Udon or Muang? Many places in Nong Khai and Nog Bua Lamphui are closer to Udon city than other places in Jangwat Udon.

What if you're not from Udon, Thailand or Farangland ... the only remaining choice is another third world country ... does that suggest countries like Japan (not farang) are third world?

Just seeking clarification.

Well, you're from New Joisey and live near Nong Khai, so you should vote for Thailand.

Clarification enough for yous?

I live in darkest Hampshire not far from Old Timer.

Watch out for the one-legged four-eyed dwarf lurking about your neighbourhood, O-T, he's up to no good.

There's very little dark in Chelters, FC. That place is the centre of genteelness, the archetypal town of Middle England and the Countryside Alliance.

ha,ha you are reading too many tourist guides westerby. Don't suggest that you try going into any of the "gentile" pubs along Prince Elizabeths' Way/Tewkesbury Road... :D :D

Bob, a Gentile is a Jew's description of someone who isn't in the Jewish faith. But yes, I know what you mean with respect to Cheltenham, every town has it's element of sordidness, although Gloucester is probably a tad more lairy.

I'm glad we're friends again, anyway...

Agree about difference between Glos & Cheltenham - although I always preferred Gloucester for a night out - & yes I would be happy to buy you (&/or FC) a drink in either the next time I am around, although that looks like end August at the moment.... :D :D
