A friend of mine cites the "working without a permit" argument to keep from mowing his own lawn. It works for him!

 Quit complaining(joking, sometimes complaining is good for the mental health)!Inconveniences are the price of living in the best place in the world! The real problem is we want all the good stuff w/o the negatives

As an experienced expat,if I had a mind to do some '' possibly unlawful'' work,I would simply try to do it in a friendly environment and if I got ''inconvenienced'',I would humbly pay the money that would make it go away!

Then ,I would come on here and complain until I felt better! All the time knowing that I was still way ahead of the game compared to being back in Falangland

I would also think much of it depended on who was calling in making the
complaint and where it was supposedly taking place. These things can get
exaggerated from mowing the lawn to the drug-dealing mafia farang next
door who beats his wife and is working illegally. How gung-ho is the local
immigration guy, and is he determined to start cracking-down on some of
these lawless 65+ year old pensioners who are stealing work from the thais.
