Windows worm numbers 'skyrocket'

For those who use Internet Explorer, you need to check this out. It seems they don't have a handle on the worm, even with the update on IE6/7. Also, just think of the windows operating systems that aren't and can not be updated as they are copies.

always suprises me guys still use IE when firefox is so much better and updated far more regularly to cope with nasties

I think you've put your finger on it, Pops. Those with unregistered copies of Windows cannot get the updates.

If this is the same worm that has had a lot of press in the last week, it can be spread by many means, including disks and thumb drives. Be careful...its a dangerous world out there.
