Wireless music player

PostAuthor: Thai_1_On » February 5, 2008, 8:07 pm

Just my luck, I brought a Linksys Wireless Music Bridge from the US with me and hooked it up today to find it's DOA. Heres my question does anyone know where I can get something like it to replace it?

It works like this, the unit seats on top of your stereo and recives a signal from my laptop like a wirelees routher and streams the MP3's from the laptop.

IPODS and other MP3 players can do this via small devices, for your car using the FM transmissions, but havent seen anything to go directly from the notebook to the stereo etc.

It might be avaialable at the complex. I found other Linksys products there. I ususally use my local PC shop to order products from Bangkok, and I usually get things in less than a week, pending stock. Here's the Linksys site with the Music Bridge for others to check out.

If you don't find it at the complex another alternative is Oasis Plaza in Khon Kaen. A bit of a road trip, but they have better selection and a bit less expensive than here.

I was hot on the idea after looking at the web-site... until I saw that it is Windoz 2000 or XP. Guess the CD won't play on my Mac.

Pakawala it's a very cool toy and when it worked it was great. I wanted to use it here as we sit outside having dinner and later :drunk: I could just sit the laptop on the table and pick the tunes for the evening and no wires.
