Worried of Udon!!!!

I found this worrying snippet on this week's stickman page:

There is heaps of confusion at the moment for holders of O visas married to a Thai lady. A long time reader went to the Immigration Department at Suan Plu to extend the visa. Married to a Thai lady, he has had no problem extending the visa previously, but this time he was told that they no longer issue extensions to O class marriage visas and he would have to do a visa run, that is leave the country, and leave his wife, every 90 days! Whether this is a new policy or he got a cranky officer having a bad day is unclear.

Let's just hope it's a "cranky officer".

Another one of those 'hearsay' stories I guess.
One man out of the hundreds (maybe thousands) of those who apply each week is turned down.

The full story is nowhere to be seen - just second hand info.

I rather think that if they were no longer going to issue extensions to marriage (o-type) visas - they might have put out some sort of notification.

How can this guy do a visa run because if he has had previous extensions then one can imagine his original visa has well since expired and to enable him to do 90 day visa runs he would need a new non -imm visa which if I am not mistaken is obtained outside of Thailand (usually in your home country) so he would have basically been told to leave the country and get a new visa (and therafter anually)

a bit of scaremongering I suspect here - ???
