Your preferred Internet Browser?

PostAuthor: Bandung_Dero » December 8, 2008, 10:00 am

Just come off another forum completely unrelated to Thailand where they have a Poll running on preferred Internet Browsers. Firefox is the outstanding front runner with 80% of the vote with IE a very poor 2nd with less than 10%. I can’t find a similar Poll here so I thought I’d post it just to see if there is any relationship in the outcome.

I use Firefox exclusively but may try Google Chrome to give a chance.

Google chrome is crap and full of security holes. I use both ff and IE depending which side of the bed I get out of. Usually IE as there are still quite a number of compatability issues with FF. Just one example at random, is that you can't book Lao Airlines using FF.

Simply a matter of using the IE tab in FF when you are in the Lao Airlines page.

I just did it with no problems (up to the stage of entering personal details).

I choose Firefox because it's fast, simple and has many useful plug-ins. I find IE has problems with certain scripts and slower page loads. I checked out Chrome when it was first released but noticed it had problems displaying certain sites. I would imagine these issued have been sorted by now, but for now I think I'll stick with FF. Safari is ok but text rendering is too dark (bold) IMO.

Firefox for me. I tried Chrome and didn't like it... Opera is good and I like the speed dial feature only slight drawback is you have to revert to Yahoo mail classic as it doesn't support newer version of Yahoo.

I was going to give Safari a whirl but was put off by the 19+MB download. Also the screenshot put me off with too much screen room given to buttons for iTunes etc.

Okay maybe it is customisable but right now Firefox zips along nicely so if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Firefox Although Chrome is good but hardly use it, and IE is also good but hardly use it, I feel i can use FF blindfolded.

I voted IE because I am too lazy to download anything else.

I only use IE when I have my iMac in Windoz mode so I can access Bangkok Banks on-line pages. Can't log-on with any other browser. All other times I use FF.

Jacksprat please explain, "Simply a matter of using the IE tab in FF". I'm not familiar with this option. =D>
